Jake Perry
Jake Perry is the founder and principal of Jake Perry + Partners (JPP), a Washington, D.C.-based government affairs and strategic advisory firm he launched more than a decade ago.
With nearly three decades of experience in politics and government, Jake advises clients on the intersection of policy, process and politics on Capitol Hill. His work spans a broad range of issue areas, including healthcare policy and price transparency, financial services and fintech regulation, gaming and skill games policy, trade and tariff policy, tax, energy, agriculture, transportation, technology, and matters affecting victims of terror.
Prior to founding JPP, Jake spent more than a decade as a senior political advisor and confidant to U.S. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid. He began his service to the Majority Leader on Reid's 1998 campaign and returned in 2007 to serve as Executive Director of the Majority Leader's Leadership PAC and campaign. In 2011, he helped launch Senate Majority PAC, the Senate-focused Democratic Super PAC.
Jake also led finance operations for the campaigns of Senator Byron Dorgan (D-ND) in 2004 and Senator Bob Casey (D-PA) in 2006 — both of which set fundraising records for their respective election cycles.
Jake remains active in House and Senate politics today. He is a member of the House New Democrat Coalition's Keystone Project and the Senate's Mod Squad, and serves on Caucus Chair Pete Aguilar's Finance Council as well as the finance committees of several U.S. Senators.
For ten years, Jake served on the Board of Trustees of the American Council of Young Political Leaders (ACYPL), a nonpartisan nonprofit recognized internationally as a leading forum for introducing America's rising political and policy leaders to their counterparts abroad. He led ACYPL delegations to the Philippines in 2011 and to India in 2013.
Jake holds a B.S. in Political Science from East Carolina University. He lives in Washington, D.C. with his wife and daughter.
